AI-assisted decision support only

SpecRisk AI provides AI-assisted document review and decision support only. It is not legal, engineering, insurance, construction, or professional estimating advice. Users are responsible for reviewing all project documents and making final bidding decisions.

Use of SpecRisk AI does not create an attorney-client, engineer-client, insurance adviser, construction consultant, professional estimator, fiduciary, or other professional relationship with Eph Labs LLC.

SpecRisk AI output may be incomplete, incorrect, outdated, or based on limited extracted text. You remain solely responsible for reviewing all original project documents, addenda, agreements, estimates, subcontractor scopes, insurance requirements, and applicable laws or professional requirements.

No warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. Eph Labs LLC does not warrant that SpecRisk AI will identify every review item, identify every unusual clause, produce complete or error-free output, meet your project requirements, or be uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Eph Labs LLC disclaims all warranties and liability arising from or related to use of SpecRisk AI, including any reliance on AI-generated output, missed or incomplete review items, incomplete analysis, project losses, bid errors, contract disputes, delay damages, insurance issues, lost profits, lost opportunities, or consequential, incidental, indirect, special, exemplary, or punitive damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Eph Labs LLC's total aggregate liability for any claim related to SpecRisk AI will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific review giving rise to the claim, or one hundred dollars, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

User responsibility and indemnity

You are responsible for your uploads, permissions, use of reports, bid decisions, project decisions, and professional review process. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Eph Labs LLC from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your use of SpecRisk AI, your uploaded documents, your reliance on output, or your violation of these Terms.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe through Stripe-hosted Checkout Sessions or Payment Links. Eph Labs LLC does not store full card numbers.

Digital services begin once document processing starts. In the preview flow, processing and report generation take place before payment. Payment purchases access to the full digital report. By completing your purchase, you request that access be provided immediately after successful payment confirmation.

Due to the digital nature of the SpecRisk AI analysis report, all sales are final and non-refundable once successful payment unlocks the full report and makes it available for your access, subject to the exceptions below and applicable law. Users remain entirely responsible for reviewing the original project documents and making final bidding decisions.

This policy does not prevent correction of duplicate charges or billing errors. If a system failure prevents delivery of or paid access to the full report and we cannot resolve it, you may request a full refund. Eph Labs LLC may also issue a manual goodwill refund at its discretion. Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable law.

The full refund terms are available in the Refund Policy. Reports are AI-generated, and SpecRisk AI does not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or that every clause or review item will be identified.

The updated refund terms apply to purchases made after publication. Earlier purchases remain subject to the policy applicable at the time of purchase.

Third-party processing

Documents, submission data, generated reports, payments, and related communications may be processed using third-party services including OpenAI, Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, and an email provider if configured. Those providers may process information according to their own terms, privacy policies, security controls, and legal obligations.

Data retention

Unpaid source PDFs and abandoned uploads are eligible for cleanup after 24 hours, except while an authorized review or a verified checkout/payment is pending. Completed free previews remain accessible for the seven-day lifetime of their issued preview links without extending source-PDF retention. A fresh preview link may be requested only while the preview is still available; expired or deleted uploads cannot be restored by reissuing a link. Unpaid previews and their stored reports are eligible for deletion after their access period ends. Purchased reports require email verification. SpecRisk AI retains paid-service data, payment and audit records, support communications, and protected processing caches as reasonably needed to provide the service, handle follow-up, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and improve product quality. Deletion requests may be sent to contact@ephlabs.ai, subject to legal, security, backup, and business record requirements.

Governing law

These Terms and any dispute related to SpecRisk AI are governed by the laws of Missouri, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
